FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
The Champagne Bureau Australia
The 2015 National Champagne Master Class Series
Conducted by Vin de Champagne Award past winners
Throughout September and October, The Champagne Bureau Australia will run a series of special Champagne master classes across the nation. The classes will provide an educational platform whereby people can taste different styles of Champagne wines and learn more about this unique appellation and what makes Champagne so special. In July this year, the UNESCO World Heritage Committee decided to include the Champagne Slopes, Houses and Cellars on its world heritage list.
Guided by Champagne aficionados who have all won the coveted Vin de Champagne Award, the classes aim to inspire and encourage anyone interested in tasting, discussing and learning more about Champagne, whether a beginner or a more seasoned Champagne enthusiast.
The Vin de Champagne Award has run for 40 years and seeks to find those who have the best Champagne knowledge and appreciation in Australia. Winners have won in either the Professional or Amateur categories and continue to promote the wines of Champagne throughout both their professional and personal lives. Some of Australia’s most knowledgeable wine industry identities have won this Award.
Australians love Champagne. In 2014, Champagne imports to Australia totalled 6,524,220 bottles making Australia the 6th largest export market in the world for Champagne.
