Champagne Charles Clément
In the reception room of this cooperative founded by Gilbert Boulachin in 1956 with 22 winemakers, his daughter, Isabelle, presents the nine vintages as well as the many gift boxes of multiple specialties offered by the house. Today, this operation is composed of a small team, very proud of its brand new laboratory for quality approval. In 1960, this union of winegrowers grouped together 5 wine-producing villages, the commercial brand was called the "Cercle d'Or". 1980 saw the choice of the name of one of the co-founders, "Charles Clément", as a discreet tribute to the famous neighbor of Colombey-Les-Deux-Églises. The sales manager, a true memory of the company, assisted by its new director George Rognon, an oenologist, lead visits punctuated by tasty anecdotes that are necessarily sparkling. Cellar visit times: Monday to Friday at 10:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. (by reservation if possible)
