Champagne Veuve Lepitre
Founded in 1905 by Maurice Lepitre, a young winemaker, Champagne Veuve Lepitre became a women's business. Hélène took over from Maurice, before passing the torch to Marguerite, then Corine. Today, it's Adeline's turn to write her own version of the house, guided by her sensitivity and passion for the craft. The worthy heiress of 3 deserving generations, the young winemaker intends to remain uncompromising about the quality of the house wines. This starts with the special care she takes of her vineyards, located exclusively on the Premier Cru terroir of Rilly-la-Montagne, at the foot of the Montagne de Reims. A land of excellence, a veritable natural showcase where the grapes of tomorrow?s wines slowly ripen. Because quality takes time! To better reveal the mono-terroir of Rilly-la-Montagne, Adeline has imagined 3 extra-brut cuvées with authentic identity. Cuvée Lazuli, a tribute to the ancient sea that covered Champagne millions of years ago, perfectly combines the 3 great Champagne grape varieties: 60% Chardonnay, 20% Pinot Noir and 20% Pinot Meunier. Pleasantly fruity, expressive and warm, it is a perfect match for red meat.
