Champagne Minard et Filles
Since 1922, the men of the Minard family have succeeded each other in elaborating the champagnes of the house. Lucien, René and Patrick have worked for years to develop the business. Today, Audrey, one of Patrick's daughters, has taken over the reins, trading in her white nurse's coat for a pair of overalls! Alongside her husband Richard, she has created the Minard & Filles champagne brand, inspired by the new generation represented by her daughters and nieces. Champagne Minard & Filles brings together two family passions under its bottle labels: champagne and horseback riding. "Our vintages symbolize the ardor, power, nobility and vivacity of horses." The house's 4.13 hectare vineyard is located in the heart of the Montagne de Reims, in the charming village of Courmas. It is here that Audrey Minard explores a multitude of blends in the creation of her cuvées to let the wine express itself and give each a unique typicity. The cuvée Les Terres Noires, 100% pinot meunier, is a testimony of the search for the expression of the terroir and its authenticity. It reveals a mouth that is both structured and greedy, with aromas of black fruits, coffee and orange zest, the result of the marriage between the wine and the wood.
