Champagne Gaidoz-Forget
Founded in 1930 in Ludes, in the heart of the Montagne de Reims, Champagne Gaidoz-Forget is a family story. Today, after 3 generations of passionate winegrowers, from her great-grandfather Henri to her father Luc, it's Bertille's turn to perpetuate the family heritage, while bringing her own spirit and freshness. Passionate about the winegrowing profession from an early age, it didn't take long for the young woman to find her calling. The family practises integrated viticulture with a profound respect for the environment (no herbicides), and makes its champagnes from start to finish, with patience, love and precision. In addition to Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Petit Meslier, the vinification process gives pride of place to Pinot Meunier. Thanks to its mineral character and citrus notes, this emblematic grape variety of the Champagne region lends finesse and elegance to the company's wines. Cuvée Empreinte Meunier, made exclusively from Pinot Meunier, highlights the terroir of Ludes 1er Cru, with its deep limestone soils providing structure and roundness. On tasting, aromas of blood orange and candied citrus give way to a lively, powerful attack, followed by a gourmet, fresh finish. A marvelous match for snacked scallops.
