Champagne Charles Heidsieck

Champagne Charles Heidsieck

In 1867, Charles Heidsieck (founded in 1851) acquired a wooded park and its vast maze of chalk pits, more than eight kilometres of galleries, located thirty metres underground. Since 2015, these chalk pits have been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. They house several million bottles, which rest patiently to perfect their maturation for at least four years... sometimes more than forty One of the pigeonholes, shaped like a champagne bottle, has become the model for the House's bottles. > Redecorated in 2017, it houses a private reception room.
