Champagne Marguet Père et Fils
Champagne Marguet was created around 1875 by Emile Marguet, a visionary ancestor who, as early as 1883, grafted his best plots in the Côte des Blancs and the Grande Montagne de Reims in anticipation of the arrival of phylloxera. A biodynamic winemaker in Ambonnay, Benoît Marguet has been using draft horses for soil work since 2010, a practice that connects the three elements of the terroir: chalk (mineral), the vine and endemic flora (plant), and fauna and humans (animal). He also practices phytotherapy, replacing pesticides with herbal infusions and decoctions, as well as aromatherapy, treating the vines with essential oils.
