Champagne Lancelot Fils
The story of Champagne Lancelot Fils dates back to the 1930s, when Jean Lancelot began cultivating vines after working as a distiller. He was succeeded by his son Daniel and later by his grandson Claude, each creating their own eponymous brand as well as the Champagne Lancelot Fils label. Since 2011, Hubert Lancelot, Jean's great-grandson, has carried on the family legacy under the Champagne Lancelot Fils banner. Since taking the reins, the young winemaker has continuously modernized the tools of the trade and focused on crafting high-quality, terroir-driven wines full of character. Passionate about his craft, he has developed a natural winemaking style, resulting in unique cuvées such as the "Cuvée Fer de Lance," a perpetual reserve blending wines from different years. Fruity, mineral, and incredibly refined, this Blanc de Blancs is composed of two-thirds wine from the current year and one-third from the previous year’s blend. Of course, before winemaking comes viticulture! Located in Avize, at the heart of the Côte des Blancs, Champagne Lancelot Fils cultivates a 5.6-hectare vineyard spread across eight very distinct terroirs, bringing incredible aromatic richness to its cuvées!
