Since 1867, four generations have worked on these renowned vineyards. Beyond the sparkling pearls, the DEFRANCE family has long mastered the art of crafting the famous Rosé des Riceys. The estate is primarily composed of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grape varieties. For over 20 years, Christophe Defrance, in collaboration with his wife Marie-Dominique and more recently their daughter Anne-Sophie, has advanced cultivation practices to fully harness the richness of their land while respecting nature and the terroir. This includes eliminating all inputs such as insecticides, anti-botrytis treatments, and herbicides. Today, all soils are cultivated mechanically. Champagne Jacques DEFRANCE is certified Terra Vitis and H.V.E III.
