Champagne Charlier & Fils

Champagne Charlier & Fils offers a rarity now unique in Champagne: it is one of the last two houses to age its entire range in large oak barrels known as "foudres de chêne." During your visit, you will walk through the “foudrerie” with its 57 massive barrels lined up side by side, some of which are hand-carved. You’ll learn all about the Champagne-making process, from the press to the finished bottle. You’ll also get a glimpse of traditional working methods with a visit to the Champagne museum.
