Champagne Ruinart

Discover the oldest and first Champagne House dating back to 1729 during a visit to the cellars. A fascinating spectacle: an impressive staircase plunges more than thirty metres underground to a network of galleries that lead to ancient listed Gallo-Roman chalk pits. Stretching over eight kilometres, at a depth of more than 30 metres, the site, a veritable cathedral of underground chalk, has been classified as a Historic Monument since 1931. By reservation only.
