France’s Greater East region and the Champagne Committee, which are working to promote a wine tourism destination with an international reach, are proud to announce the launch of a joint wine tourism trademark, “La Champagne, refined art de vivre”.
Within the context of the Champagne region’s destination contract, coordinated by the Champagne Committee, and at the end of a long collaborative design process managed by the Champagne-Ardenne Departmental Tourism Committee (CDT) and funded by the Greater East region, this trademark will be rolled out worldwide. It will support both public and private stakeholders in their efforts to develop wine tourism around a consistent and unifying product offering, with its promise of refinement.
This renewed offering will showcase the Champagne growers and Houses which are committed to providing a quality welcome, in collaboration with the region’s tourism professionals seeking to influence consumer behaviour in relation to wine tourism.
The Champagne Committee ensures that the “Champagne” appellation is properly protected. Within this new framework, the Committee and all its partners will work to monitor respect for the entire Champagne AOC.
The inclusion of the Champagne Hillsides, Houses and Cellars as a UNESCO world heritage site constitutes a major opportunity to promote an outstanding living cultural landscape and acts as a powerful driver for the renewal of Champagne’s wine tourism offering.
Creative translation has produced a slogan “La Champagne, refined art de vivre” which will be unveiled to professionals at the Destination Vignobles tourism trade fair, organised by Atout France in Reims, on 11-12 October 2016.
