House
The Champagne house Alfred Gratien was founded in Epernay in 1864. For four generations, the same line of Chefs de Caves has been ensuring the perpetuation and transmission of an artisanal know-how: rigorous selection of grapes from the best villages, respect for terroirs, vinification in small oak barrels and production of limited volumes. Today, the Chef de Caves Nicolas Jaeger, signs the style of the house Alfred Gratien and ensures the continuity of its philosophy.
Through a wine tourism circuit, the House Alfred Gratien opens the doors of its century-old barrels cellar and its underground cellars dug in chalk, 18 meters deep, where nearly a million bottles are resting.
