Brazil’s National Institute of Industrial Property has just registered and recognized the Champagne controlled designation of origin.
This recognition allows the protection of the Champagne controlled designation of origin in Brazil.
Mrs. Dilma Rousseff, President of the Republic of Brazil, delivered the official registration certificate to Mr. François Hollande, President of the French Republic, during her recent visit to Paris.
This official registration is part of the Interprofessional Champagne wines Committee’s larger mission, to protect the Champagne controlled designation of origin throughout the world.
Each year, the recognition of this protection extends to ever more countries.
The interprofessional Champagne Wines Committee continues to develop its work, particularly in the Unites States and Russia.
