Au XIXème siècle Une grande famille, les Perrier au temps des diligences! Joseph, fils de François- Alexandre négociant, fonde en 1825 la maison "Joseph Perrier Fils et Cie" et l'installe à Châlons-sur-Marne, route de Fagnières. Il loge les bureaux dans un ancien relais de poste, abrite celliers et caves dans la demeure bourgeoise attenante. Châlons-sur-Marne comptait au XIXème siècle plusieurs hectares de vignes et dix grandes marques.
