The Comité Interprofessionnel du Vin de Champagne (CIVC) has a mandate to raise awareness of the Champagne AOC and educate policy-makers about the need to protect its name.

Its mission centres around public relations and media outreach, working closely with the 13 Champagne Bureaus that represent the CIVC in each major export market.
